RPG Battle 2025
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a remake of my very first game (made in 2019). I wanted to see how far I have come after 5 years or game development.
You must overpower and defeat a bigger and stronger clone of yourself. However when one clone dies, another one takes its place, and then another one,
and then another one,
and another one,
and another one after that.
The premise makes little sense, and the situation is hopeless.
RPG Battle 2025 is a small turn-based arcade game where the main gameplay involves back and fourth attacking between you and an evil clone, gaining points along the way.
What's the highest score YOU can get?
Aside from attacking, you can also GUARD which has a chance to heal you when the enemy attacks, enabling you to deal extra damage.
You will also get stronger after each round as you can select random upgrades when defeating a clone.

Hi, I played the game for a bit, here are few things that could be improved
* when pressing god mode, the game closes, losing all progress >:(
* when selecting item, if you don't have any, you still lose your turn
* for a choice to be interesting needs to be non obvious, ex when going to the next level
* the game is just pressing fight and when low on health, pressing guard? usually in this genre, there are synergies, where a combination of items/attacks will lead to a higher damage than usual
* the art is fine, but feels empty
* even on small games, its necessary to have an unique selling point, define the game's identity and make it stand out for example in Undertale, It flips the traditional RPG trope, making non-violence just as viable and rewarding as fighting
and btw, I made a game prototype (https://ega-supremo.itch.io/holo-piknik). It would be great if you could spare a few minutes to check it out and give me your feedback, and tell me of the three, which one you prefer
Hi, thank you so much for playing my game, it means a lot. A lot of the issues you mentioned are things I have acknowledged but actively ignored because I wanted to finish the game, sorry. I will probably update the game soon to fix these issues.
A few things to note:
-The game closing when pressing GOD MODE is intentional, I put it there as a troll. I will probably update it to where your high score is saved when this happens.
-The game doesn't really have a main selling point because I wanted to be relatively faithful to the game I was remaking from (my first game). Also this game is so small that I didn't think it mattered much.
I will fix the rest of the games problems
Thanks again for playing my game, us small gamedevs gotta stick together!
